About me and my flowers!

Caroline believes that flowers that are grown locally bring a unique freshness and vitality to any occasion.
Caroline has always been interested in sustainability and in a previous career was in charge of large scale regeneration and development projects. But like many professional women discovered that the corporate world did not provide the quality of life she wanted for her family.
Having always loved gardening and enjoying floristry as a hobby, she re-trained as a florist and Abbey Meadow Flowers was launched in 2014.
Based in the beautiful Slad Valley in Gloucestershire, Caroline tends to her own flower patch and herb garden throughout the summer and, as well as using flowers from trusted local suppliers, she keeps a close eye on what is growing!
Caroline was quickly converted to using local British flowers and foliage for their vitality and variety, which truly bring floral arrangements to life.
Caroline is a member of Flowers From the Farm and is delighted that flowers grown in Britain are increasingly being valued and enjoyed.
Abbey Meadow Flowers celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2024. Secrets of success are down to Caroline’s genuine interest in discovering her clients’ style, their likes and dislikes, and choosing and arranging the right seasonal flowers and foliage to meet this. She has calm organising ability, which ensures everything runs smoothly, and loves to be challenged with new ideas and techniques which keeps life interesting.
Using sustainable floristry techniques, Caroline has a wealth of ideas. These range from large “chandelier” arrangements that offer the WOW factor, to table top displays that encourage conversation rather than forming a barrier. Whether your taste is for subtle accents or more striking displays you will find Caroline will inspire you with an enthusiastic sense of possibility for your floral arrangements.
